Washington-Based Health Communications Firm Expands, Re-Brands to Reflect Evolving Client Needs
Spectrum Opens New York Office, Invests In Health Policy, Digital Media and Research Expertise
WASHINGTON,
DC (March 16, 2009) At a time when many firms are cutting back,
Spectrum Science Communications is becoming more. The Washington-based
health and science communications firm is refining its name to Spectrum
and rebranding itself to better reflect the increased depth of
expertise and breadth of services the firm offers. Spectrum recently
opened a New York office and invested in building out its expertise in
health policy, digital media, consumer marketing and conducting primary
research.
Based in Spectrum’s New York office are Spectrum
leader Liza Morris, senior vice president and Cherry Dumaual, senior
vice president, an agency veteran with an extensive background in
consumer marketing public relations. The firm has also launched an
official partnership with Simon & Company, a boutique firm
specializing in health policy and health financing, with more than 30
years of combined experience in legislative strategy, public policy
analysis and advocacy research.
“Optimism is counter to
today’s conventional wisdom, but we are taking an upbeat,
growth-oriented approach and seizing the opportunity to expand,” said
John J. Seng, President and Founder of Spectrum. “The opening of our
New York office will be an important contributor to ensuring our
continued high level of service to clients.”
“Spectrum’s new
brand better reflects a vibrant, forward-thinking firm, where health
and science communications meet,” Seng added. “With new staff in
digital media and health policy, as well as new resources committed to
building research platforms, we’re better poised to understand and
communicate the true value of health and science from the consumer’s
perspective, and to deliver results for clients,” Seng said.
“The
new Administration has clearly signaled that health issues will be a
priority. Spectrum has invested in making certain we’re
well-positioned to help our clients navigate the changes that are
certain to come,” said Mary Ann Chaffee, Senior Vice President, Public
Affairs and Health Policy.
Spectrum (spectrumscience.com) is
one of the nation’s leading health and science communications
agencies. Independently owned, and founded by Seng in 1996, Spectrum
is committed to achieving the goals of clients who are involved with
issues, products, provider services or research in life and human
health sciences. A full-service agency, Spectrum adopts an
insight-driven approach in creating strategic frameworks for clients,
supported by marketing communications, advocacy relations, public
affairs, digital communications and design services. Spectrum provides
global reach as the US partner and chair of GLOBALHealthPR
(globalhealthpr.com), an international partnership uniting some of the
world’s most successful independent healthcare public relations firms
and their affiliates from major markets in Europe, Asia and the
Americas.
